When I consider how peoples lives have been changed forever by Hurricane Harvey I realise that sometimes:
A meaningful silence is always better than a few meaningless words.
What can one say to a Hurricane Harvey victim when I am typing from the comforts of a computer keyboard in a warm house never fearing for my life?
The media will look for someone to blame – Joel Osteen today? Donald Trump tomorrow? The Democrats the next day?
Emotions are running high.
Innocent lives have been tragically lost.
Homes and treasured memories buried under the waters.
Millions of dollars will be raised to help the cause.
We will have our heroes.
And we will have our villains too!
But what about the survivors of Hurricane Harvey?
As they sit in the emergency shelters far away from their childhood homes and all that they knew.
With their homes gone forever only to be left with memories almost to be erased by Harvey
Some have lost their loved ones and there is no time to mourn them, or even bury them!
What are they feeling right now?
O the mental anguish!

A time of happiness.
A time of sadness.
